How to install MAX+PLUS II baseline on a home computer

1. Download the software from www.altera.com.

2. Get a license file by following the instructions at http://www.altera.com/support/licensing/lic-university.html.

3. Create a new environment variable called LM_LICENSE_FILE. Assign it the location of your license file (e.g. c:\maxplus2\license.dat)
4. To set environment variable, right click on My Computer, and select properties. Click on the Advanced tab in system properties. Click on the Environment Variables button. Create a new environment variable.
