    the variables may be defined on sketch below
  3. Principle/Approach
    Includes assumptions
  4. Solution
    • Sketch:
      sketch object being analyzed
      (vector diagram, free-body diagram etc)
      show all variables on sketch ( known & unknown)
    • Equations:
      list those required to determine objective
    • Variables:
      additional values as needed
    • Substitution
      simplify equations, and then show values substituted into equations
  5. Result
    must agree with goal

    Use Engineering problems paper
    Put your name and Section number in upper right hand corner
    Use a black pen or soft lead pencil
