AERO E 461 SIZING PROJECT SPRING, 1999

OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION
Market research in our company has determined that there is a market for a small aircraft carrying vacationers and their gear and overnight baggage between vacation areas in the mountains of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, California and Nevada as well as a possible European market. It is expected that there will be sufficient interest to operate year round. The aircraft should be capable of delivering passengers from major surrounding hub airports

The Conceptual Design Group has studied the requirements and have submitted a report of their recommendations. As a result the attached document has been prepared and establishes the overall DR&Os for the Preliminary Design Study.

WORK STATEMENT
Conduct a preliminary design study to determine the configuration empty weight, fuel weight, engine size, and other pertinent geometric configuration parameters required to provide a commuter aircraft for the design mission described above. Document your work at the milestones times in regular reports following the design methodology which has been specified.
