CONCEPTUAL DESIGN: Problem Statement
- Use the decision matrices of Group Project 2 to select
your top 2 concepts
- Prepare separate Problem Statements suitable for beginning preliminary
design studies of the two concepts. Each group may break into 2 sub-groups if you wish.
- Submit the Problem Statements in written form including appropriately
labeled sketches.
Use the format for the problem statement
of the Example Project in [Notes:E] as a guide.
Remember the designer must be able to answer the following questions
based upon what you supply.
What is the goal of the study?
What are the specified constraints?
What is the criterion for a satisfactory solution?
Understand what is being required of you.?
Make certain problem has been properly posed.
