  1. The Cessna Citation has the following characteristics approximately: If the aircraft is flying at 15,000 ft in the standard atmosphere, at an equivalent airspeed of 500 ft/s and requires a thrust of 2080 lb to maintain straight and level flight, determine:
    1. lift coefficient
    2. total drag coefficient
    3. induced drag coefficient
    4. profile drag coefficient

  2. The aircraft of the previous part comes in to land at sea level at an equivalent airspeed of 170 ft/s. Assuming the profile drag coefficient does not change from that calculated above, and that the aircraft weight has not changed, determine the following:
    1. induced drag coefficient
    2. thrust required to hold the aircraft in straight and level flight
